Founder, Owner and Lead Planner - the heart behind All the Trimmings

Growing up in Bermuda, Katie was surrounded by the elegance of grand events, learning early on how to host the perfect party and design stunning table-scapes. After high school, she moved to Halifax, NS, to pursue her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Upon returning to Bermuda in 2011, Katie couldn’t resist being drawn into the dynamic world of event planning. The creativity, energy, and emotional connection involved in creating memorable moments captivated her, and she realized her background in psychology was the perfect complement to her newfound passion. Katie quickly learned how to channel her understanding of people’s needs and emotions into every aspect of event planning.

Her extensive hands-on experience with top-tier event planners, both locally and internationally, eventually led her to earn her certification in wedding and event planning. In 2013, with a blend of fresh ideas and a family legacy of service excellence, Katie founded All The Trimmings.

At the heart of every Trimmings event is Katie—planner, problem solver, and professional Prosecco enthusiast. She’s not just there to ensure everything runs smoothly—Katie makes the entire journey feel like an unforgettable adventure. Whether it’s keeping the timeline on track, offering guidance when things get overwhelming, or celebrating with a glass of bubbly (preferably while snuggling one of her bulldogs), she’s also the one making sure every detail is exactly where it needs to be on the day of your wedding. With a sharp eye for precision, a relentless work ethic, and an obsession with perfection, she takes charge of all the moving parts to ensure everything flows seamlessly. From vendor drop-offs and placement setups to directing floor plans and managing vendor and partner communications, she oversees it all. No unlit candle, crooked place card, or last-minute mishap gets past her. If there’s a problem, she solves it before anyone even knows it existed—because perfection isn’t just the goal, it’s the standard. While you’re celebrating, she’s making sure everything behind the scenes is flawless, so all you have to do is enjoy your big day stress-free.
